Knitting and occasional cRocHet
Some projects!

Knitting and crochet help relax me unless of course the pattern is giving me trouble or the yarn is tangled!
I love making functional items for family and occasionally close friends who will appreciate the hours that went into the project. I have a lot of WIPs (Works in progress) and it is slow going because I have two young kiddos. I always look forward to a long drive with the family because that means knitting time!
Find me on Ravelry: Upsidedowncat for old stuff and new stuff is on Instagram @Upsidedowncatknits and that is where I post most frequently! :)

Stash photoS Most years in August
Yarn stash = how much yarn you have that is just hanging out, not in the middle of a project. There’s the saying “S/he who dies with the most yarn wins!”
For many years there has been no extra budget for just pretty yarn. I usually buy for a specific project and then if there are leftovers it gets added into my stash. The fun part is trying to figure out how to use up the leftovers. I also occasionally get bday or xmas money to spend. :) And I also occasionally pull apart old projects to reuse the yarn.

2019
Sock yarn, leftovers, mending yarn, orange project I unknit later. Yarn of the month squares.
Acrylic leftovers and random things:
Again leftovers, 1 skein of bday yarn- blue green skein at top. Yellow, pink, red is cotton stuff. Big bag of cream rug weight yarn that was gifted to me.
2019 group shot- notice bin at top of picture- that’s the acrylic bin.
That cream sock is the very first sock I ever knit- including calf shaping! Child’s size or my gauge was wrong.
This may look like a lot of yarn but in reality it fits in about two bins and I am at the point I have to be creative and make scrappy hats!
